Don’t let the delay in board exams delay your future

Don’t let the delay in board exams delay your future

Back in March 2020 when the first lockdown was declared in India, no one was prepared for how much this pandemic was going to affect all our lives. We have all lost the better part of a year stuck inside our homes and we are still not done.

The world’s favourite new pastime

The impact of this has been felt across the entire population but if you are a student in Class 12 or equivalent you are in a uniquely confusing position. Taking the next step in your education/career was difficult enough without this huge asterisk hanging over it.

For those of you who are planning to go abroad for an undergraduate degree there is a lot of uncertainty. Your application to an overseas university is subject to 2 things –

  1. Your Class 12 exam results
  2. Travel restrictions

What makes it worse is that students from India are the only ones going through this ordeal as most other countries remain on track.

And as things stand, both of these things are very uncertain. There will be no clarity on if and when the boards will happen until June 2021 and borders to a lot of countries are likely to open not before 2022.

So what now?

You could wait. Wait till the board exams are either rescheduled or cancelled. Wait till you finally get the results in hand which won’t be till August. This means the September intake is gone and the next feasible intake would be Jan-Feb 2022.

By the time the signal turns green, it might be too late!

In this scenario, you are going to lose the rest of 2021, i.e., 6 months of your time before you finally start your UG degree.

Or you could save these 6 months.

Save 6 months by starting early –

This guy has the right idea.

The WorldGrad has partnered with a number of top-ranked global institutions to create programs that allow students to start their undergraduate program online and complete overseas.

With The WorldGrad, you can get a headstart and have the first half of your Year 1 education already complete by the time the Jan-Feb intake rolls around. Which means you will be on track for the second half of your Year 1 when you go overseas at the start of 2022.

We have flexible intakes, 6 times a year as opposed to the 2 or 3 intakes that a university has. This means that even with the delay in your board results you can start your education in late August 2021 or October and be ready to go overseas for the Jan-Feb intake without losing out on precious time.

Additionally, by starting with The WorldGrad you will get savings and scholarships of over INR 20 lac on your 3 year education, i.e.,

  • INR 5 lac on your Year 1 tuition fees since our programs are priced lower for online learning
  • INR 5 lac on your Year 1 living costs since you are staying in the comfort of your home
  • INR 10 lac of scholarships on Year 2 and 3 of your tuition fees (subject to your academic performance in Class 12) which we have arranged for our students

That’s a lot of savings!

Don’t waste any more of your time by waiting for things to happen. Start with The WorldGrad today and kick start your overseas degree in 2021.

What can I do now?

Two things – first, narrow down on your program choices with The WorldGrad by visiting https://theworldgrad.com/enquiry/ and discussing your options with our admissions counsellors

Second, use this time to prepare for a standardised English test that will most likely be required to go overseas. Best place is to take a diagnostic test that tells you your current level of English on the Global Scale of English (GSE) based on which you can determine how much and what kind of preparation you may need to do for your target program.

While the situation looks quite bad right now, there are many things you can do to stay on course for a fantastic future! Make smart choices today and discover a new way to study overseas by The WorldGrad.
